“Remember that emotion is not a debatable phenomenon. It is an authentic reflection of our subjective experience, one that is best served by attending to it.” - Curt Thompson
Welcome! So glad you are here! I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist specializing in supporting individuals navigating the emotional challenges of grief, infertility, anxiety and relational issues. With experience in reproductive mental health, I understand how deeply infertility and its many traumas can affect one’s emotional well-being, relationships, and sense of self.
My approach is rooted in empathy, validation, and a client-centered perspective. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to process your feelings, explore your options, and work through the many complex emotions that life can throw your way. Whether you are struggling with grief, isolation, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or the overwhelming feelings that often accompany fertility struggles, I am here to walk with you on this journey.
Background and Specialties: One-on-one encounters, whether it was getting coffee with a friend, mentoring high school students, or helping college students discover their educational goals, have always held a special place in my heart. Growing up, I gravitated towards relationships that cultivated depth, beauty, and meaning. This tendency towards finding depth in life eventually led me to the counseling profession.
Through a blend of therapeutic techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Relational Psychodynamic theory, I help clients navigate the ups and downs of life, enhance coping strategies, and create a path to emotional resilience. My goal is to empower you to regain a sense of control, find peace in the midst of uncertainty, grieve what needs to be grieved, and move forward with clarity, strength, and purpose.
In my free time, I enjoy reading all the mystery books, knitting, yoga, and watching knitting vlogs!
